first_imgManchester United forward Romelu Lukaku has responded to criticism of his recent dip in form and has told his critics to evaluate his performance when he is a finished article.Lukuka whose move from Everton in the summer cost Manchester United £75m hasn’t scored in his last six matches across all competitions with his last goal coming against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.Though Lukaku who had opened his United account with a rush of goals- scoring 11 goals in his first 11 games has become the target for the boo boys at Old Trafford and has seen steered the wheel for manager Jose Mourinho’s war of words with the home support.In an interview with Thierry Henry the forward said;“I think a lot of people are judging me as the finished article. I’m 24- you can’t judge me as the finished article. I’d rather have a year where I improve, improve, improve rather than going straight to the top and then declining.“I know I have a lot of talent. I can do a lot of stuff, score goals with my left, right and head. But I want to be a creator- I want to have more assists. I want to make sure when my team is having difficulties they can count on me.“I’m on the perfect stage and the perfect age. Chinese Super League club release statement regarding move for Chelsea star

Tianjin Quanjian have distanced themselves from reports a deal to sign Chelsea striker Diego Costa is near.The Chinese Super League club have been linked with a mega-money move for the 28-year-old striker, who has two more years remaining on his Chelsea contract.Costa scored 20 goals on his way to winning a second Premier League title with Chelsea since joining from Atletico Madrid for £32million in July 2014.He has also been linked with a return to Atletico. He admitted previously to agitating for a return to Madrid before saying he was happy at Chelsea.A statement on Tianjin’s official website said: “During the past six months the club has not communicated with Diego Costa or his agent regarding his transfer to Tianjin Quanjian.”Costa has been linked with a £76m move but Tianjin insisted such a deal would be contrary to their strategy.“We have no intention of becoming involved in any unhealthy competition and, consequently, paying a premium price,” they said. 1last_img read more
