first_imgLifestyleLocalNews Medical Professionals Retrained in Dengue Diagnosis and Management by: – October 21, 2019 Dr Dion GajadinWith the alarming increase in dengue cases in Dominica, a one-day workshop hosted by Ministry of Health and Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) took place to retrain medical practitioners on the clinical diagnosis and management of the disease.Following the workshop, which was reportedly successful, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. David Johnson revealed that dengue is not only a health issue, but is also an economic issue.“We are having an outbreak of dengue fever and a lot of persons are ill and cannot go to work and production is affected.
