Every Thursday since not all that long ago, a few of us here at Geek have decided to come together and talk about some of the things going on during the week. We call it the Geekout…One of the topics on everyone’s minds this week has been Google Glass. We’ve covered it a bit lately, but in today’s Geekout we talk a little about whether or not the wearable technology is something that everyone is going to use. After all, at some point you’re going to go somewhere and have to be with other people, right? From the world of gaming we talked for a bit about a never released Sega prototype console that a former employee shared photos of, after re-discovering he owned the console 14 years later. We talked a bit about the Ouya console and the recent questions regarding its overall performance and capabilities, and we wrapped up with a look at the Unity-powered Ravensword 2: Shadowlands for Android and the hit iOS game Ridiculous Fishing. The latter is a deliciously amusing time-waster with great graphics and solid controls, but it can get frustrating at times. It’s an ideal game for playing while watching TV or doing something that requires only a fraction of your attention. If you’ve got something you want us to chat about next week, or if you’d like to join us for a Geekout episode and talk about anything in particular, be sure to drop us a note in the comments!
