Women’s Golf Closes Out First Day of FGCU Eagle Invitational

first_imgDES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women’s golf team opened the spring season at the FGCU Eagle Invitational and after the first day the Bulldogs are in ninth place out of 15 teams. Drake recorded a 313 (+25) and are just three shots back from Arkansas State and MVC foe Southern Illinois, who are tied for sixth place (310). There are just two shots that separates the Bulldogs’ four scores with freshman Grace Dunn leading the way, shooting a 77 and is tied for 20th. Sophomore Madison Glennie finished her round with three straight pars to register a 78, good for tied for 26th. Freshmen Sophie Hill and Adrianna Elliott each carded a 79, while Katie Clausen rounded out the Bulldogs’ effort with an 83. The Bulldogs will play the second round of the FGCU Eagle Invitational on Saturday at 8 a.m. EST. FIRST ROUND RESULTSPrint Friendly Versionlast_img read more
