Portal 2 on the PS3 will fully support the PlayStation Move

first_imgUsually when you buy a game from Valve, you’re best off buying it on the PC. Look at what happened with Team Fortress 2, for example: the PC version quickly evolved into an entirely different game than the Xbox 360 version, which was hobbled by Microsoft’s Draconian Xbox Live policies. When it comes to Portal 2, Valve looks like they’re doing their damnedest to turn the status quo on its head. In fact, it’s now looking likely that not only will the PlayStation 3 version of Portal 2 be better than the Xbox 360 version, but it’ll be better than the PC and Mac versions too. Why? First of all, the PS3 version ships with SteamPlay, which automatically allows you to play the same game on the PC or Mac without paying for it again. That’s a huge plus over the Xbox 360 version already, and since you don’t get the PS3 version if you buy Portal 2 on the PC or Mac, it’s a good deal for PC owners too, even if they don’t have a PS3 yet.It gets better, though. Valve has just announced that the PS3 version of Portal 2 will ship with complete Move support. That means you’ll be able to fire your portal gun in Portal 2 just by pointing your PlayStation Move controller at the screen. That’s totally awesome. Portal‘s one of those games where it’s easy to see how motion-sensing could make it a more enjoyable experience. Is there any doubt that the PS3 version of Portal 2 is going to rock?Read more at Eurogamerlast_img read more
