Redshirt freshman Spencer Petras and sophomore Peyton Mansell are still competing for the role. There’s also a little controversy at the placekicker position. Juniors Caleb Shurdak and Keith Duncan still vying for the job.Only one Iowa freshman is slated to start in the initial lineup: center Tyler Linderbaum, who redshirted in 2018.But without a doubt the most eyes will be on junior defensive end A.J. Epenesa and right tackle Tristan Wirfs. Both of them are expected to be stars in the Big Ten this year, and potential first round NFL Draft picks.
